In December of 2000 I let my friend Mark talk me into leaving my union job (40 years) and taking a salaried job as an Instrumentation Engineer. There were some times when I cussed him for talking me into taking the job, but most of the time it was a great job and a fun challenge. I worked with a great bunch of people for the 10 years I was an Engineer. Every one of them was a pleasure to work with.
It was really sad leaving all the friends I had worked with for all those years but it was time to go. 50 years is long enough for anyone. Below is a foto of me with my 50 year certificate.
